Having now tried the 180 and 240 grit Flying Deer sheet sandpaper from abrasive stock I have to say it is great! I use it in small sections to hand sand contours and it vastly out performs and of the paper I’ve been using.

FAQ's
What is TreadFlex flooring?
TreadFlex is a modular interlocking flooring system designed for commercial and high-traffic environments, including garages, gyms, showrooms, retail spaces, warehouses, and workshops. Each tile connects securely without adhesives to create a durable, slip-resistant surface over existing concrete or solid floors.
Where can TreadFlex be used?
How strong is TreadFlex flooring?
TreadFlex tiles are engineered for heavy-duty use, capable of handling vehicle weight, gym equipment, rolling loads, and continuous foot traffic without cracking or warping when properly installed on solid surfaces.
Is TreadFlex suitable for vehicles?
Yes. TreadFlex has been designed for vehicle traffic and parking environments, making it suitable for both residential and commercial garages as well as automotive showrooms.
Can it be used in gyms?
Absolutely. TreadFlex provides a textured anti-slip surface with shock-distribution properties to support free weights, machines, and high foot traffic. It also helps reduce noise compared to bare concrete.
How is TreadFlex installed?
Can I install it myself?
Yes. TreadFlex is DIY-friendly for many applications. For large commercial areas or complex layouts, we recommend professional installation for best results.
Can individual tiles be replaced?
Yes. One of the biggest advantages of TreadFlex is that individual tiles can be removed and replaced, making repairs quick, affordable, and non-disruptive — unlike epoxy or vinyl flooring systems.
Is TreadFlex waterproof?
TreadFlex tiles themselves are water-resistant and feature a design that allows moisture drainage and airflow beneath the surface, preventing standing water buildup. This makes the system ideal for wash bays, gym mop cleaning, and damp spaces.
How do I clean and maintain the flooring?
Will the tiles stain or mark from tyres or equipment?
TreadFlex is resistant to many common oils, chemicals, and rubber contact marks. Normal cleaning removes most residues caused by vehicle tyres or gym equipment.
Can I customise the colour or layout?
What is the lifespan of TreadFlex flooring?
With correct installation and routine maintenance, TreadFlex flooring is built to provide many years of commercial-grade performance in demanding environments.
Does the system damage existing floors?
No. Because TreadFlex sits directly on top of your existing surface without adhesives, it does not permanently alter the concrete underneath.
Can TreadFlex be removed?
Yes. The floor can be fully dismantled and relocated if needed — ideal for leased buildings or changing premises.
Is TreadFlex slip-resistant?
Yes. The tile surface includes anti-slip tread patterns designed to improve grip in both dry and damp conditions — enhancing floor safety in busy environments.
Is professional installation required?
Not always. Many customers choose to self-install. However, professional fitting is recommended for large commercial projects, vehicle ramps, or custom designs.
What surface does TreadFlex require underneath?
For best results:
✅ Solid concrete or sealed screed
✅ Clean and level substrate
❌ Not suitable for soft or uneven surfaces (e.g. carpet, loose tiles)
Minor cracks in concrete do not usually affect installation since the flooring floats above the surface.
Is there a warranty?
Warranty terms depend on product specification and purchase location. Please refer to your seller documentation or contact the TreadFlex team for full warranty details.
How do I calculate how many tiles I need?
Measure the total square footage of your space and divide by tile coverage per unit. Always allow an additional 5–7% overage to account for trimming and layout adjustments.
Our team can provide a customised layout calculation for your project — just contact us with your floor dimensions.
Can you help with large commercial orders?
Yes. We offer volume pricing and project support for commercial installations. Contact us to discuss bulk orders, colour schemes, or site planning.
